Walk with God in Peace this Summer!

“Yes, in joy you shall go forth, in peace you shall be brought home; mountains and hills shall break out in song before you, all trees of the fields shall clap their hands.”

Isaiah 55:12

During these summer months it is so important to slow down from the daily routines that come with a school year and take time to focus on our blessings.  God always wants to help us in our every day lives.  I saw a sign outside of a church that said, “Have you thanked God today?”  Five simple words … carrying a powerful reminder to us all that God is always with us and wants to see us happy and successful.  He pours His blessings out to us each day.  It is up to us to set aside our daily frustrations, obstacles and challenges in order to tune into His peace and the blessings that He sends to us each and every day.

Putting the needs of others before our own is a great way to please God and find inner peace.  “Pay it Forward” in the fast food drive-through, visit the elderly, hold doors for others, thank a veteran, forgive those who have done you wrong, send a handwritten note of gratitude to someone – we have so many opportunities to help others or make a positive difference in someone else’s day.  It brings us peace that becomes contagious.   Brag on how God brings you peace!  The bigger you make the goodness of our God, the smaller your problems will become. Practicing a daily routine of service to others makes our God smile.  As a reward to us, He sends us His explosive blessings that bring about strength, protection, goodness and inner peace!
