Receiving God’s Kindness Through Prayer This Lenten Season!
“But God did hear and listened to my voice in prayer.”
Lent calls us to be still and quiet. We live in a “microwave society,” where everyone expects things immediately. It is during the times of silence and reflection that we can feel God with us. At those difficult times, He walks with us to a place of peace. Our times of trouble are of no surprise to God. When the unexpected happens, know that He has equipped us all with what we need to carry us through the storm and land safely on the other side. God is alive and well within all of us. We carry his royal DNA in our veins.
Prayer is such an important part of our relationship with God. He has buried within each of us gifts and treasures to be shared with others. Our treasures are related to our purpose in this life. We unleash these gifts when we speak to and stay faithful to God through prayer. When we seek Him each day, He showers us with His kindness and equips us with the things that we need to endure the painful times, moving us forward to fulfill our destinies.
During this Lenten season, I encourage our school families to take time for quiet reflection with God. Read about a saint, begin a Devotion, visit the Adoration chapel, and as always, do kind things in His name. Walk with God, honor Him and thank him for his abundant blessings in your life. As you begin to see yourself as God sees you, the treasures on the inside of you will cease to remain buried. Uncovering those treasures will then begin to move you closer to receiving the abundant blessings that God has in store for you and those around you!

Mrs. Lucas is pictured here with her kindergarten "treasures" who remind her every day of why her work at Annunciation BVM School is so important. "I try to use the gifts that God has given me to inspire others to completely trust in God's plan that He has for them. It is from that faith and trust that He is able to unleash his abundant blessings on us!"
