Welcome To Mrs. Lamer's 3rd Grade

I can’t believe that is February already! Just think, spring, Easter, and the end of another school year are just around the corner! In the month of February we think of love…. loving our families, loving our friends, and our school. Our class has been working on the “power of our words”. We try to practice speaking only kind and loving things to each other. I have noticed that the atmosphere of the classroom is much more pleasant when we speak those loving words of support and encouragement! Perhaps we can even carry it home to our siblings and our parents! Wouldn’t the world be a better place if we all practiced this? (Wouldn’t Jesus be pleased?) We have been learning more in each of the school subjects we love, especially about animals. We have been learning more about the animals that we love, becoming animal “experts”, and sharing super presentations about those animals to our classmates! Our next project will be creating mini biomes for plants and animals. You’ve got to love that!
This month we will have a fundraiser at Chili’s in Hanover on the 9th; students may wear red or pink in place of their uniforms and bring valentines on the 14th; we have 2 holidays on the 17th & 20th; and we will participate in an Ash Wednesday Mass on the 22nd.
Don’t forget that we love you here at Annunciation School! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns, or even any ideas to share! Have a lovely February!

Teacher Tidbits
Promise yourself to be strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
To think only of the best, to work only for the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words but great deeds.
To live in faith that the whole world is on your side so long as you are true to the best that is in you.
